There is only a little time left until the start of Seafood Expo Russia 2022, and in this edition of our overview of new exhibitors, we would like to draw your attention to exhibitors in the logistics section. Disruptions in the usual supply routes have had a particularly strong impact on fish and seafood. As one of the most traded types of food in the world, fish products travel enormous distances as they make their way to consumers and sometimes cross more than one state border.
Logistics should play a key role in strengthening the domestic market and boosting deliveries to new export destinations. This is why, in addition to the regular participants in this section, new logistics companies have joined Seafood Expo Russia this year.
RZD-Logistics is the largest multimodal logistics operator in the CIS and the Baltic States and one of the leaders on the Russian logistics outsourcing market that manages supply chains for industrial enterprises. The company also provides logistics consulting and develops recommendations to optimize cargo transportation.
Refagrotrans operates the largest fleet of its own autonomous refrigerated containers in Russia. The company plays one of the leading roles in the delivery of temperature-controlled cargo in Russia and also actively develops export-import routes between Russia, China, Mongolia, the CIS, and European countries.
IBG (Insurance Business Group) is a universal Russian insurance company that provides a full range of insurance services, including the insurance of cargo as well as customs and logistics risks in maritime, rail, and road transport. The company has been working on the market for 22 years and has insured properties in 58 regions of Russia.
Much attention will also be devoted to logistics issues as part of the business program. In particular, at the 2ndConference ‘Continuous Cold Chain (CCC): From Words to Deeds’, which was organized jointly with the Association of Refrigerated Rolling Stock Operators and Rossoyuzkholodprom, the final draft of the law on NCC will be presented and the final comments will be recorded before it is submitted for discussion by the general public and state authorities.
