10 April 2019

This is the fourth time national fishery producers are participating in Seafood Expo Global & Seafood Processing Global, a leading European industry exhibition that will take place in Belgium, with the Russian national pavilion. Compared to previous years, the Russian exhibition area will be the largest in terms of the number of participants in 2019.

The world's largest fish industry event the 27th Seafood Expo Global & Seafood Processing Global will take place in Brussels from May 07 through May 09. The event is going to host about 2,000 companies from different parts of the world and at least 30,000 people will visit the exhibition.

The core of the Russian exhibition area, whose total area will be about 700 square meters, will be constituted by 20 fishing enterprises operating in the Russian Far East and North-Western Russia. Such enterprises will include key industry players and traditional participants of the Brussels exhibition such as "NOREBO", "ANTEY", "FEST", "YKRK Co.", "NBAMR", Russian Fishery Company", "Sirius", and "Dikiy Ulov". All these companies will exhibit products of deep processing technology, including salmon and white fish fillets, canned pickled fish and canned goods. The Group of companies "ANTEY" will present new pacific sardines product line branded as "Russian Fish Factory".

"Exhibitors will present in Brussels fish products that are most interesting for the European market. According to our consulting division Fishery Strategy Consulting, European countries show a positive trend for ready-to-eat and ready-to-cook products", the CEO of the branch exhibition operator "Expo Solutions Group", Ivan Fetisov said.

For the first time this year, companies representing fishing equipment have joined fishing enterprises. These include "Rybtehcentr", a Kaliningrad based manufacturer of fish processing equipment, and component supplier "Baltmechcom". The companies, together with distribution company "Maxifish", also taking part in the exhibition for the first time, will share the exhibit booth of the Kaliningrad Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The newcomers to join the national booth will include "DEFA Group" offering a range of shrimp products, "Tymlatsky Fish Factory" with pink salmon and cod fillets and "North-Kurilsk Base of Seiner Fleet" with deep-sea scallop products. Deeply processed products will also be presented by "Lenin V.I. Collective Farm Fishery" and "Kalinin Fishing Collective Farm", also first-timers at the exhibition but experienced players in the market. For the first time ever, "Export Development Center of the Primorsky Territory" will show its products to the European public, bringing together three Primorsk-based seafood production, aquaculture and delivery enterprises at its exhibition booth.

"A considerable portion of our exhibited products will be targeting the HoReCa segment since Europe shows high demand for high quality fish products. We would recommend fishers to use all tools to put their goods in a good light, including presentable packaging", Ivan Fetisov said.

The Russian exhibition area will traditionally feature an exclusive concept design, eco-friendly lightweight structures and interactivity. The stands of each company will be equipped with top-of-the-notch multimedia equipment broadcasting information about its operations.

An extensive business program is intended to be implemented as a part of the exhibition process and will be finalized shortly.

The Russian national pavilion in Brussels will be operated by "Expo Solutions Group".
