The third day of IV Global Fishery Forum & Seafood Expo Russia 2021 will be devoted to aquaculture. The business program includes a number of events with the participation of heads of relevant authorities, high-level foreign delegations, Russian business and science representatives.
On September 10, from 11:00 to 13:00, an international conference "Aquaculture: a Driver of Global Fish Production" will be held. The head of the Federal Agency for Fisheries Ilya Shestakov and the head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Sergey Dankvert will take part in the conference, the heads of delegations from Iran, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Chile are invited to participate. FAO Deputy Director of Fisheries Audun Lem will join the conference online. Heads of industry companies from Israel and Norway will also take part in the discussion. Within the framework of the conference participants will discuss the current state and prospects for the development of aquaculture in Russia and around the world, measures of state support and the role of domestic scientific developments in the selection and breeding of fish, the impact of the cultivation of aquatic biological resources on the ecology.
Roundtable "Efficient Aquaculture Farming" is scheduled from 14:00 to 16:00. Representatives of professional associations and heads of Russian and foreign industry companies will discuss the practical aspects of the organization and functioning of aquaculture and mariculture farms: from planning the opening of an enterprise to the introduction of digital technologies, including the issues of arranging recirculated water supply installations, used feed and veterinary drugs. The practical orientation of the event is aimed at joint coverage of the most relevant problems and the search for the most effective ways to solve them.
Aquaculture issues will be also discussed within the framework of other events of the business program: on September 8 at the FAO section from 10:30 to 12:00 and on September 9 from 16:00 to 17:30 at a roundtable organized by the Consulate General of the Kingdom of Norway.
Aquaculture is one of the most promising areas of economic and social development of Russian regions. Just like in 2019, a separate day of the event will be entirely devoted to the discussion of issues of aquaculture and mariculture.
IV Global Fishery Forum & Seafood Expo Russia 2021 is the largest event in the Russian fishing industry. The organizer of the event is the Federal Agency for Fishery with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the operator is Expo Solutions Group LLC. The event will take place on 8-10 September 2021 at the Expoforum Exhibition and Convention Centre in St. Petersburg.
